On 19 July 2025, members of the Singapore Plumbing Society (SPS) crossed the Causeway for a specially arranged factory visit to a sanitary ware manufacturing facility in Johor Bahru. The trip was part of SPS’s continuous efforts to broaden members’ exposure to industry practices and product innovations beyond Singapore.

At the factory, participants were given a guided tour of the production lines, learning about the various stages of sanitary ware manufacturing—from raw material processing and moulding to glazing and quality testing. The visit provided insightful perspectives on the technology and craftsmanship that go into producing everyday fixtures used in residential and commercial plumbing systems.

After the factory tour, members headed to a nearby plantation for a relaxing durian session. Surrounded by the lush greenery of the Malaysian countryside, attendees enjoyed a wide variety of fresh durians and other tropical fruits, making for a lively and enjoyable afternoon.

The blend of technical learning and casual bonding made the day a well-rounded and memorable experience. SPS extends its appreciation to all members who joined the trip and looks forward to organizing more enriching and enjoyable outings for the plumbing community.
